Methods+Mastery has an immediate opening for a Senior Art Director with an illustration/motion background who loves to create for social media. We’re looking for a candidate with a voracious appetite to learn, grow, work hard, and have fun. Responsibilities

  • Illustrate and art direct outstanding creative for all things social including: storyboarding longform (2-3 min) motion graphic content, building out cross channel social media creative (from animated GIFs to AR filters), websites, blogs, digital/social advertising, business development initiatives, print materials and branding collateral
  • Ability to interpret and act upon creative briefs independently, directing junior team members where necessary
  • Manage own workload and timelines in collaboration with account leads
  • Work collaboratively with other creatives, strategists, analysts and client experience leaders to concept and produce creative design solutions for clients in line with developed insights and strategies, mentoring more junior team members where necessary 
  • Present and articulate rationale for concepts, design direction and in-progress creative to clients
  • Participate in and lead creative brainstorm sessions to conceptualize creative approaches against client briefs
  • Develop original concepts and design creative assets for multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Contribute to team culture, DE&I initiatives, and mentorship of junior creatives

Qualifications

  • Insatiable appetite to learn, grow, work hard, have fun, be entrepreneurial, curious, and inventive
  • 5+ years of experience doing awesome design work—preferably for a social media, content, creative, digital, or integrated marketing firm
  • A stellar portfolio
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects at any given time
  • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Google Slides
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere, and other audio/video editing software a plus
  • Experience and working knowledge of creative types and formats across all social media platforms and emerging technologies used to engage consumers
  • Ability to convey strategic direction/requirements into visual designs
  • A detailed understanding of best social media and web practices, i.e. design optimization, usability and functionality
  • Solid understanding of web technologies including browsers, platforms and devices
